Twin City Grill

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Twin City Grill at Mall of America was honestly my favorite place in the Cities for a BLT sandwich. They also have these delicious salt and vinegar french fries. So if you can eat gluten, go there for the BEST BLT and french fries!!

I was so elated to find out that Twin City Grill is also great with allergies and they offer a gluten-free menu. I’ve been there probably about 5 or 6 times since my diagnosis. The first time was by myself for lunch and I treated myself to prosecco and chocolate cake for dessert.

They typically bring delicious gluten filled rolls to the table, but they make their own gluten-free rolls in house so they bring those out to the table if they see you with the special gluten-free menu (which you can ask for at the hostess stand). These are the same rolls they serve the burgers and sandwiches on from the gluten-free menu. They offer salads, fish and steak as well. Unfortunately, their delicious french fries are cooked in a shared fryer, and aren’t available on the gluten-free menu.

I once asked one of my servers to explain the steps they take when they get an order for an allergy. She said they make specific notes on the ticket, they enter it into the computer as an allergy, there are guidebooks in the kitchen for the servers and then the chefs are obviously well-trained. They also put a little “allergy” stick in the food. Everyone I’ve talked to there has been so great about all of the allergies and they take it very seriously. OMG, I almost forgot that they offer some gluten-free desserts!!! They have a delicious chocolate cake with ice cream and chocolate sauce and creme brûlée. And an ice cream sundae!

Twin City Grill also has daily specials and every time I’ve been there they have been able to make all of them gluten-free. The decor in here is filled with fun info and historical photos of the Twin Cities. Did I mention they have a full bar?

A fun little tidbit. On Tuesday, the Mall of America has Toddler Tuesdays where they have fun activities for kids in the rotunda. That day they also offer special lunch specials at some of the restaurants where kids eat free with an adult entree. Twin City Grill is included in that deal and they have a great kids menu!![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
